Pink coloured contact lenses are typically created from a traditional contact lens to serve as the base. A pink pigment is added and carefully layered inside the lens with depth to achieve the right hue.

What are pink contact lenses?

Pink contact lenses are contact lenses which are designed purely for cosmetic purposes - to temporarily change your eye colour to pink, or to enhance your natural eye colour. Pink eye contacts are extremely popular with people who take part in cosplay, particularly dressing up as popular anime characters, and Instagram photoshoots.

Are pink contact lenses safe to wear?

Yes - all of the pink contacts we stock here at Lensmate have been rigorously tested and meet all EU safety regulations, including CE certification. They're designed with comfortable materials which allow for oxygen to easily pass through to the cornea, keeping them well hydrated to enable comfortable wearing.

Our pink lenses can be worn safely by most people for up to 8 hours a day, but they may cause slight eye irritation in a small minority of people, especially if you're new to wearing contact lenses.

Lenses must be left to soak in a cause filled with cleaning solution when they're not being used, and overnight.

Do pink contact lenses work on dark eyes?

Yes, our pink coloured contact lenses are designed to look great on top of most eye colours, and should look well in most dark eyes. The final effect will of course vary depending on the natural colour of your eyes.

How long can I wear pink contact lenses?

All of our pink eye contact lenses can be worn comfortably and safely for up to 8 hours a day.

The wearing schedule provided on the product page and box of lenses must be followed, however. For example, if you buy 1 day lenses then you can wear these for 8 hours and then you must dispose of them. Most of our pink contact lenses, however, can be worn for 3-months, 6-months or 1-year - offering great value for money.

When you're not wearing the contact lenses, ensure they're left to soak in a case with cleaning solution.

Are pink contact lenses suitable for cosplay and special occasions?

Absolutely - our pink eye lenses are very popular with people who do cosplay, enjoy anime dress-up and also makeup artists who like putting new looks together for Instagram or modelling websites.

Are pink contact lenses reusable?

Our wide range of pink contacts are available with differing wearing schedules, but most of them can be worn for 3-months or more. Our collection of disposable pink contact lenses is quite small, so most are longwearing.
